Affiliate lead follow-up: use the question they actually asked
A person who opted in and asked a specific question should not receive the same generic sequence as everyone else. Conversation-aware follow-up is most useful when it remains permission-based, accurate and easy to stop.
Segment by behavior
| Behavior | Useful next step |
|---|---|
| Asked a fit question | Answer with verified product information and a merchant link. |
| Raised an objection | Send a guide or alternative that addresses that objection. |
| Clicked to merchant | Do not pretend you know whether they purchased unless you actually receive that signal. |
| Not interested | Reduce or stop promotional follow-up. |
Channel consent matters
Voice calls and SMS can be more intrusive than email or on-page chat. Build explicit expectations into the opt-in flow and follow applicable communications rules.
Where Agentic Affiliate fits
The merchant describes four-step follow-up across SMS, AI call and email based on what a lead said. That is a useful concept, but the affiliate remains responsible for claims, consent, frequency and the third-party costs associated with telephony.
Editorial note: We do not claim first-hand use. Product facts are based on the merchant's public Bundle page and current official documentation checked on September 9, 2026. Vendor case studies are treated as vendor-supplied examples, not expected-results evidence.
